On this tour you will discover the third most important cemetery in the world after the Arlington cemetery in Washington and the Pierre Lachaise cemetery in Paris, besides understanding the architecture of the Academy of France that emerged at the beginning of the 20th century. The Church of Recoleta (Iglesia del Pilar) and its convent were witnesses of the origins of this neighborhood, which in the first place was the residence of the Recollect monks. Currently you can visit the church, as well as a visit the Recoleta Cemetery (the city’s first public cemetery), discovering the most significant monuments from the historical and sculptural point of view.
